To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity you must have the following:

  • 1st or 2:1 degree - Russell Group (preferable) in a core subject
  • A passion to support others
  • Prior school, education or tutoring experience would be preferred
  • A patient and supportive manner

It would be ideal if you had previous experience of working within a school or educational setting, or be a strong psychology graduate who is incredibly keen to pursue a career within education! A strong degree and a passion for education are vital ingredients for this school who would fully support the successful graduate throughout their placement at the school.

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant you should be able to work with a range of pupils with mild to severe learning difficulties to ensure the quality of their education is of a high standard. You would be supporting and motivating these students with their classwork in aim to enable and equip them to reach their full potential in GCSE and A-level examinations. It is essential you have a 2.1 or above in a core subject degree including either Maths, Science, English or core subject.
