Over the last 8 years, they have raised a colossal £86 million in funding for over 600 companies. This impressive company are now looking to find a Business Development Executive with at least 1 year's sales experience, to join their dynamic and ambitious team in London.
Job description
In this Business Development Executive job, you will be helping to manage inbound enquiries from prospective customers, as well as being the first point of contact for prospective clients, and reaching out to other prospects to generate further interest in the business. Collaborating with internal marketing and finance teams, you will ensure that prospective clients receive the most efficient level of service and are directed to the correct funding path. You will also be responsible for reporting on inbound sales metrics to help influence marketing strategies. Throughout the sales process, you will be building up your knowledge of tax, learning about company funding journeys, and innovative new technologies.
Key responsibilities
In this Business Development Executive job, your responsibilities will include:
* Speaking with prospects over the phone, via email and face-to-face
* Providing a consultative and well-informed service to help direct prospects to the right funding for them
* Working collaboratively with the marketing team to help campaigns to deliver results
* Developing an in-depth knowledge of funding, tax, and the start-up scene
* Reaching out to new prospects via LinkedIn
* Working with internal funding teams to direct prospective clients to the right source of funding for their business
* Analysing and reporting on sales metrics to continuously enhance the company's performance
* Building relationships with stakeholders and maintaining these relationships throughout the sales process
So, what are we looking for?
* A minimum of 1-2 year's relevant experience
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* A keen interest to further develop a career in sales
* Motivation and resilience to drive sales conversions
* Experience within financial services, technical sales or innovation consultancy is a bonus
* A real passion for the world of technology
* A confident, independent self-starter who finds new ways of engaging clients
* Excellent organisational skills - you must be able to efficiently work across multiple projects and pipelines
What else is on offer?
* A highly competitive starting salary of between £24,000 - £28,000 - please note, there is no commission with this role
* A flexible approach to work - while this role will require you to attend face-to-face meetings, your time outside of those meetings can be as remote as you like

* Up to 6 weeks holiday each year
