Have you recently graduated with a Psychology degree and are keen to pursue a career in educational psychology?

Perhaps you have previous experience working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and want to extend this experience and pick up some school based experience?

Would you like to earn up to £325 per week whilst gaining invaluable and rewarding experience supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties?

This Manchester Primary School is searching for a patient and resilient graduate to join their SEN Support team as a teaching assistant to provide support in class for their children.

EBD Teaching Assistant

  • Psychology Graduate- 2:1 or higher
  • Perfect experience before educational psychology
  • Fantastic training and support provided
  • Previous experience essential
  • £300-£325 per week
  • Large Primary School in Manchester

Person specification

This role is ideal for a resilient, patient and committed Psychology graduate with a 2:1 or above degree who is keen to gain more school based experience. You will be passionate about a career in teaching or Educational Psychology, and should have relevant experience working with children either through voluntary placements at university or paid roles. Experience of working with challenging behaviour/special needs would be advantageous but not essential.

About the role

The role will require you to work closely with a child in KS2 has Emotional and Behavioural difficulties and needs specialist interventions delivered. You will be supporting him at all times within the classroom, assisting the class teacher.
