Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.
As a Manufacturing/Operation Intern you will support Operations Excellence business analytics team in standardizing business data, removing redundancy, and creating efficiency through automation.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Attend IT council and collect top down and bottoms up approach to align data across Electric, Environmental & Engine Systems in standard formats and automation
  • Support collection and automation of demand analytics and inventory data using Business Objects and Tableau
  • Work with the Business Unit and site SIOP and Materials teams as well as reporting to management
  • Data analysis using SAP and other business systems will be required through the year end
  • Assist in coordination with 20 sites globally in Electric, Environmental & Engine Systems Business Unit to standardize reporting tools and process
  • Create standard work for monthly gathering and consolidation of various metrics
  • Collect and consolidate customer and operations data across our global operation sites and summarize as part of functional and executive reviews
  • Assist with adoption of Always On at the site level wherever advantageous to the business

Qualification:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Business, Masters in Business Administrations (MBA), or related study
  • Must have GPA of 3.0 or above is required
  • Must have completed at least 30 credits of college coursework

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Database experience (SQL, normalization principles)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and support tools
  • Tableau and/or Business Objects experience
  • SAP experience

Education:

Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Business, Masters in Business Administrations (MBA), or related study
