What could you do with a globally-recognised brand?

JCB is a world-class, family-owned business. We are proud of our achievements and recognise that future growth and success is shaped by the ambition of the JCB team. If you are looking for a career with a business where people really count, look no further.

About the Scheme

Within our ethos of being ‘never content’, we are always looking to improve our factories, facilities and processes and that’s why we need the best manufacturing graduates to join our business.

The 18 month programme will consist of four placements which will give you exposure to a variety of disciplines and the opportunity to see our manufacturing operation on various sites. You could experience a busy quality or manufacturing engineering department in a business unit or a placement in Group Manufacturing looking at manufacturing processes across all sites.

We will encourage and support you to work towards professional registration with either IMechE or IET and we will provide you with a mentor to make this career development a success.

During the placements you will work with experienced teams, gain new skills and develop a detailed understanding of a global off highway machine engineering and manufacturing business.

You will also be involved in community based activities and education STEM activities as part of the scheme with the opportunity to become a registered STEM Ambassador.

About You

You will be dedicated, willing to learn, demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude and sense of urgency. We are looking for individuals who are great problem solvers, who can use JCB processes, systems and standards to support decision making. You will also need to be tenacious and determined to succeed in a fast paced environment.

We are looking for candidates who have a ‘hands on’ approach and be as passionate about JCB as we are.

Entry Requirements

Candidates who wish to apply must be near to or have completed an appropriate engineering bachelors or master’s degree and must be on track to secure a 2:1 or higher.

The placements will be based within one of our UK sites in Staffordshire, so you must be willing to relocate to within a reasonable commuting distance.

Post Scheme

Following the scheme our manufacturing graduates secure roles in departments including; quality; manufacturing engineering and advanced manufacturing to name just a few. The choices are numerous, but our dedicated Graduate Scheme Leader will support you in finding your first role post scheme.
