The PR Account Executive will have a flexible approach when supporting and managing clients through PR and marketing activities.
PR agency experience is essential for this position. Education to degree level would be useful, solid PR skills are vital.
The PR Account Executive will be part of a team and will work closely with an Account Director. The PR Account Executive will be involved in building positive relationships with clients and media contacts. Assist with meetings, proposals and presentations, planning, design and implementation of PR campaigns and business strategies, deal with management tasks and write press releases.
Proven experience of working in PR is required so a sound understanding and full appreciation of the way the sector functions can be applied to the role. Use this knowledge to gain the maximum positive publicity for the clients. Assist with the management of project and campaign deadlines. Be skilled at communicating with editors, journalists, clients and business contacts. Manage press information, see the story angle in each case study or press release and liaise with the correct media contacts. Deal with events.
Write press information to meet the brand guidelines of each client. Research the client’s areas of business to ensure a full understanding of the application and potential story angles. Have a positive, helpful and professional approach when dealing with clients and contacts, as well as the ability to meet tight deadlines. A sound understanding of digital online campaigns and social media is essential.
