Processing clinical specimens, these may include a range of swabs, body fluids, blood samples, etc. Sub-culturing, under supervision and setting up a range of routine laboratory tests.
In the role of Biomedical Support Worker, we will be encouraging you to work as an autonomous practitioner, with our client group to help maintain and support their long-term clinical needs in the community.
We are seeking highly motivated and committed Biomedical Support Worker with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills to join our bank.
You will be working as a Band 2 Biomedical Support Worker, you will be responsible for the planning and management of your own caseload, service delivery using an impact based model of clinical decision making, actively contributing to service development and providing supervision and support to junior staff members.
Confidentiality/data protection regarding all personal information and Trust activity must be maintained at all times (both in and out of working hours) in accordance with professional codes of conduct and relevant legislation such as the Data Protection Act. The post holder should ensure that they are familiar with and adhere to all Trust Information governance policies and procedures. Any breach of confidentiality will be taken seriously and appropriate disciplinary action may be taken.
