The school wants to meet a professional and passionate Chemistry Graduate who has exceptional subject knowledge from their degree and a clear understanding that they are a role model to their pupils at all times.
As a Chemistry Graduate you will be supporting general classes within the established Science Department. The successful Chemistry Graduate will also have responsibilities that include taking part in important, teacher-led group intervention sessions, learning the skills and experiences that will make you an outstanding teacher in the future. The chosen Chemistry Graduate will be absorbing as much knowledge as possible when supporting the classroom in the hope that they will be able to lead a class of their own during the placement. If you demonstrate the natural aptitude for teaching, the school may be willing to endorse you for a school based Initial Teacher Training programme that will see you gain not only your QTS, but also a PGCE.
