We are looking for a Sales Associate to join the growing team in London reporting directly to the Head of Institutional Sales. In this position, you will have the opportunity of selling to existing clients and building and maintaining good relationships with customers and new prospective clients while conforming to the various FCA, LSE and Compliance regulations.

Description
* Develop and maintain close knowledge of specialist sector clients and understanding of their needs;
* Identify and contact sales prospects along with any assigned accounts;
* Establish rapport and maintain contact with existing and potential clients;
* Provide timely and accurate information to institutional investors on both primary and secondary ideas in order to generate positive returns for clients and commissions for CGL;
* Prepare presentations and proposals, develop and maintain sales material and current product knowledge;
* Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain client information, oversee account services through quality checks, identify and resolve client concerns;
* Source agency / principal transactions and provide to trading department for execution;
* Develop and maintain appropriate client, sector and/or industry knowledge. Take responsibility to attend industry courses/seminars and relevant client events and pitches;
* Liaise closely with Research colleagues to provide feedback;
* Liaise closely with Corporate colleagues on retained clients and contribute to winning and retaining such;
* Attend relevant site visits as appropriate; and
* Comply with CGs standards of behaviour as described

Profile
Qualifications and Skills required:
* 1-3 years of experience in similar role, or strong interest in sales, real estate, equity trading, financial services, securities and capital markets, looking to start a career in equity sales.
* Educated to Degree Level standard or equivalent.
* Good knowledge of UK regulatory framework.
* Adherence to and completion of mandatory annual compliance training initiatives.
* Exceptional communications skills for interacting with clients and external professionals;
* Solid interpersonal skills and creative in approach to problem solving- ability to work both independently with minimal direction and in a strong collegiate team environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to colleagues and/or clients.
* Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
* Demonstrate a strong work ethic and motivation to learn.
* Good knowledge of UK regulatory framework.
