We have exciting opportunities for Occupational Therapists to join our Band 5 rotations within aforward thinking and supportive Therapy Service. We have an interesting and varied rotational programme which includes experience in the following areas:
Acute medical inpatients
Dementia unit
Intermediate care unit
Outpatient Occupational Therapy including hand surgery
Neuro rehabilitation - in patients, early supported discharge and out patients
Orthopaedics
Surgical rehabilitation
Rapid response team
We also have links with our colleagues in Northwest boroughs and are able to offer access to their rotations which includes Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Community Therapy, Paediatrics, Aids and Adaptations and Mental health.
We are actively involved in a number of AHP strategy improvement projects including the “NHSI AHPs Supporting Patient Flow Collaborative” and the Trust has just launched their first trainee advanced practitioner posts.
We are looking for talented individuals who are committed to working as part of our Occupational Therapy team delivering an excellent, caring service to patients.
Our ideal candidate will be confident, have appropriate NHS training and will be clearly able to demonstrate a desire to actively participate in all aspects of the role. The successful candidate must be an effective team player with good communication and organisational skills. They will be able to demonstrate clear clinical reasoning and have the ability to explain their decisions and actions in a way that all concerned will be able to understand.
Completing a mixed rotation at Band 5 level provides you with a well-rounded set of clinical skills which will serve you well in your future career progression. We actively encourage and support succession from Band 5 to Band 6 Occupational Therapist.

The working hours for this post will be 37.5 hours - over 5 working days which, on some rotations, will include Saturday and Sunday working.
Based across the Trust sites for therapy services including Warrington Hospital, Lovely Lane, Warrington WA5 1QG and Halton Hospital, Hospital Way, Runcorn WA7 2DA
