Job Description

More in Common is looking for an Operations and Finance Associate who has a passion for supporting not-for-profits and their employees and who will thrive in a fast-paced and demanding start-up environment. S/he will report to the COO.

The Operations Associate’s main responsibilities will be to:

  • Assist with the operation of the organisation’s Human Resources and help to develop an effective and collaborative team culture
  • Support all stages of the recruitment and induction process and maintaining up-to-date employee records.
  • Provide support to the global team on the use and adoption of the organization’s database (Salesforce)
  • Ensure the smooth running of our office in the UK
  • Provide support to the global team on IT systems including maintaining and training staff on Office 365, Slack, Video-conferencing
  • Provide operational support for major events, meetings and team members’ international travel
  • Assist the Finance Director in managing and processing expenses and invoices for staff, contractors and vendors
  • Provide the team with other administrative support as required.

  • Experience in supporting teams and offering help pro-actively
  • Ability and willingness to work with diverse teams based in different locations
  • Experience in managing work systems and external relations, including consultancy contracts and external service providers and suppliers
  • Strong interest in and fluency with applying new technologies to teamwork
  • Excellent IT skills and an interest in new technologies that support effective team work
  • Attention to detail
  • Initiative and good problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in recent versions of Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of Salesforce desirable
