A vacancy has arisen within the microbiology laboratory for an enthusiastic and dedicated Biomedical Scientist to join the team and play an important role in the day to day running of the laboratory.We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to complement our existing team providing a diagnostic service for the Hull and East Yorkshire area.
The role requires the suitable candidate to work on rotation in all sections of the laboratory at the Hull Royal Infirmary site of thisUKAS accredited laboratory. This is a well-equipped, fully computerised laboratory providing a wide range of specialised and routine tests and handling approximately 500,000 specimens per year.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly depending on the needs of the service which includes the integrated shift system/rotation pattern which operates in the Department , including call.
Candidates should possess a BSc in biomedical science and evidence of further specialised study e.g. specialist diploma in microbiology, with at least 4 years working experiance
