Teaching Assistant Person Specification
To be considered you must be an eager graduate who has at least received a 2:1 in your degree and previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role. You should be able to enthuse and engage your pupils and motivate your pupils to have self belief. You must show the ability to plan and prepare for SEN pupils and get involved in afterschool clubs and sports . You will provide a sympathetic nature and a positive and proactive approach to challenging situations.

About the Teaching Assistant Role
In this exciting Teaching Assistant position you will be working within a specific class based on school need and your own preferences. Day-to-day, you will be supporting the teaching and learning within the class and outside, making use of the educational resources on offer - these include interactive play areas. The school are eager to keep on the best TAs and LSAs for the rest of the teacher training through the School Direct scheme. As a Teaching Assistant you will be helping teachers of all key stages to support the classrooms and work with mixed ability pupils. Work under a purposeful Special Educational Needs Coordinator who works hard to fulfil the needs of their team and operates an open door policy where the ideas and opinions of all staff members are taken into account.
