The Company:

Our client is a high growth venture and energy industry innovator which has established itself as the UK’s leading residential smart battery storage company. Our client invents, manufactures and distributes smart energy technology including the smart battery range and a grid share offering – a battery asset management software platform that enables consumers, social landlords and utilities to use energy in an intelligent and useful way.

The battery has already been installed in a thousand sites throughout the UK, in private customer, social housing and small business environments. The systems have been involved in numerous projects for Government, British Gas, Scottish Power, Goof Energy and many others.

The role:

This is a varied role that will require you to be an impressive, driven and enthusiastic individual who can ensure that all customers receive a 5 star experience. You will be working within technical support desk, and moving with cases as the follow the escalation process up to the product development team. This is the perfect role for a candidate wishing to grow their knowledge of software development and the processes behind it. You will be mentored by the Technical Architect and the rest of the software development team in order to maximise your learning of the product.

Responsibilities:

·Help customers troubleshoot issues they encounter while using the software and provide actionable tips to resolve the problem

·Managing customer cases to ensure timely, accurate and effective resolution

·Engaging with customers throughout the install booking process

·Building our technical knowledge base and documenting processes

·Providing general administrative support in the delivery of Operations daily functions

·Arranging logistics to ensure 100% success of day-to-day operations

·Reporting weekly on Operations metrics

·Providing general administrative support in the delivery of Operations daily functions

·Communicating with customers to arrange survey, installation and maintenance visits

Essential Role Requirements:

·You’ll have strong communication skills with clarity and confidence communicating both verbally and written, with strong skills in Microsoft Office / G-Suit

·A passion for software development and Q&A of data.

·You’ll be highly organised with strong attention to detail

·You’ll be comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work to deadlines

·You’ll be enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn

·You’re personable with the ability to work well in a team of people

·You’ll have customer facing experience

Although prior in depth knowledge is not required, an interest in Javascript development or developing on AWS would be advantageous, as would some awareness of Kibana/Grafana or similar data visualisation tools.

Training and Development:

This role has the potential to develop further with the software development team from a technical support perspective dependant on skill/ability.

Location: Manchester

Base Salary: £23,000 pro-rataStart Date: ASAP
