FRAILTY/ELDERLY CARE SISTER/CHARGE NURSECBU 1 £28,050 - £36,644 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 6)
37.5 hours per week - PERMANENTWe want a Registered Nurse with strong leadership passion, drive and commitment to bring leading Change and Adding Value to life on our innovative Frailty department. The Frailty Unit and Ward ethos is about assessing and treating frail people in a person centred approach offering indepth assessments, intensive treatment plans with the intention to prevent admission and formulating robust care planning in the community. This is about getting it right first time.
For this role you will be a first level registered nurse with significant previous experience as a band 6 or 5 sucessfully leading change and delivering care to the frail and elderly. You will have evidence of clinical and leadership skills of an established nursing team, you will be in possession of a mentorship qualification.
Ward 23 has an established multi-disciplinary team, including; Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Frailty, Specialist Doctors in Frailty and Registered Nurses supported by Health Care Assistants. You will have a passion for the patient experience for people who are frail and drive quality for your ward and team. Applicants will need a dynamic, hardworking, and passionate approach to delivering high quality patient care, that is an example to the junior staff you will be leading.
It is desireable that you have an in-depth knowledge of current healthcare issues especially around patient flow, Acute Frailty, advanced care planning, risk management and clinical governance as well as quality, audit and its application. You will be well motivated with the ability to manage personal emotions and stress.
