Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow is actively seeking to recruit a Band 6 Mammographer to take an active role in planning and providing a high standard of care to all patients, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the breast screening unit.
It’s an exciting time to join the Epping Breast Unit. This is a new post created due to service changes and the successful candidate will be actively involved with National breast screening program as well as the symptomatic service; and will be part of new developments and innovations within the specialty of mammography.
This role will cover all of the duties expected of a band 6 Mammographer. With current experience in the field of Mammography, the post holder will be expected to form part of the National Breast screening and symptomatic services as well as supervise radiographers new to the Breast Unit when required until they reach the required level of competency.
The department is highly supportive of career development with the potential opportunity for the successful applicant to train in advanced practice. We currently have 2 Clinical Specialist mammographers and a Consultant Mammographer working within the unit.
Qualified as HCPC Registered Radiographer, along with the Certificate in Competence in Mammography. Competent organisational and prioritisation skills, Ability to work as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Patient orientated, with attitude reflecting PAH Trust Values. Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and concentrate on tasks in a busy environment. Pleasant and professional manner. Customer Service experience.
