The Public Policy team is responsible for working closely with politicians, regulators, and legislators to educate them about Airbnb and the “sharing economy”, highlight the significant social and economic impact our business has on cities, and showcase best practices from around the world. We want policy makers to understand the regulatory challenges that affect our host community and find solutions that are good for cities and our thriving local community.
We are looking for an ambitious, bright, forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and high-spirited intern for our Public Policy Campaign in the UK in our London Office. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Airbnb and the sharing economy. He or she will join a very fast-paced environment in one of Airbnb’s most dynamic and high profile markets. This is an intern position where the person has the opportunity to develop his/her existing skills in public policy, public affairs and events management.

Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory and stakeholder research
  • Design reports and track policy measures executed by the campaign team
  • Work seamlessly with other team members to support campaign projects
  • Support all campaign members with project management work
  • Organise events with stakeholders and hosts
  • Attend events and provide debriefings containing analysis and recommendations
  • Act as a key contributor to the success of the Public Policy UK Campaign team.
Qualifications:
  • Currently completing or recently graduated with Bachelor’s degree
  • An interest in the British political landscape and legislative processes is preferred
  • Knowledge of project management and ability to establish appropriate processes
  • Ability to produce quality research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work proactively and result driven: always trying to learn that extra detail that will contribute to the team’s goals
