Ref:290-CONA191Applications are invited for these replacement posts (8 PA each) within the Infection team at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. They will both contribute to the microbiology and infectious diseases services at Charing Cross and St. Mary’s hospitals. Flexibility will be allowed and the successful candidates will have the opportunity to further develop the service in conjunction with existing colleagues.
They will join a team of 16 other infection consultants spread across infectious diseases, microbiology, virology and pharmacy who work across all Trust sites. The department provides training for specialist trainees in medical microbiology, infectious diseases and clinical virology and has a history of promoting academic achievement.
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is one of the largest NHS Trust in the country and the UK’s first academic health science centre (AHSC), in collaboration with Imperial College London. The Trust has an annual turnover of over £1 billion, approximately 11,000 staff and it sees over 500,000 patients a year.
The post holders must hold FRCPath (or equivalent) and either be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining their specialist registration at the time of the interview.
