In this role, you have the opportunity to build a successful career at an exciting & innovative employer on an engineering graduate scheme starting in September 2019. You will join Philips for year as a Process Engineer, working on fulfilling challenging assignments and projects.

  • You will be responsible for;
  • Applying LEAN principles to all areas of the manufacturing process
  • Working on small projects independently to improve quality, reduce cost or remove waste from the process
  • Collaborating on larger projects to introduce automation, new tools or replace old tools across the site

You will bring value to our organization by fulfilling a unique and flexible role in which you translate the vision of Philips into innovative developments. You will support exploratory work, fast realization of prototypes, as well as effective product development. You will apply your in depth knowledge of the most innovative connectivity solutions, integrated platforms and standards in combination with an Agile development approach.

You are a part of

Although you will be globally mobile, you will be based at our UK office in Glemsford (AVENT). Philips AVENT is a leader in parenting and baby products. The Philips AVENT product range includes breastfeeding, bottle feeding, toddler feeding, baby monitors and newborn gifts. Many of these products are manufactured in our state of the art site in Glemsford, near Sudbury. Besides working within your individual teams and sectors, you will network with the wider organization. All new graduates are mentored by experienced colleagues and are paired up with current graduates who can help settle you into your new role and career

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • You will have recently graduate in an engineering (software, electrical, mechanical, automation and control, computer sciences, etc.) related degree (Bachelor or Masters)
  • have long-term/career ambitions in engineering roles. In addition, you will possess first class communication, planning and organizational skills
  • You will demonstrate a high level of energy, drive and passion in pursuing work objectives and a total commitment to achieving successful outcomes.
  • You will be adaptable and socially confident, enabling you to build strong relationships quickly, which will be key to your success.

Recruitment Process

Please apply online as early as possible by submitting your CV (inclusive of all grades and dates) and covering letter. If you are progressed through this stage, you will be asked to complete online verbal and numerical assessments. This will be followed by a telephone or Skype interview and the final stage will be an assessment centre in early 2019 ahead of the September start.
