Are you an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity on a busy Older Persons Mental Health Ward as part of the DCHS Flexible Workforce Bank?
It is essential that you have a keen interest and previous nursing experience. The successful candidate will also be a qualified RMN with NMC registration.
At Derbyshire Community Health Services we are proud of the personalized and safe local health services we provide that enrich the lives of people across the county every day. We are the first choice community services provider for the 700,000 people of Derbyshire.
There has never been a more exciting time to join one of the largest specialist community NHS providers in the country – one that is also among the very best NHS employers as voted by its own staff. Over the next five years the way the NHS works will change; care out of traditional hospital settings is quickly becoming a much larger part of what the NHS does. This change is happening right across the country and as a leading community provider our aim is to be at the forefront of this exciting future, joining-up services in local communities to better meet the individual needs of our patients.
If you can demonstrate good communication skills, have the ability to plan and organise competent, evidence based clinical care delivery we want to hear from you. As a clinical worker it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.
For this role you will be required to manage, prioritise and organise your own workload. You will need to be a team player, with the ability to work autonomously when necessary. This role will require people with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. You will have a flexible approach to work and a keen interest in your specialist area. You will be passionate about our business, creating a culture of continuous improvement, where patient welfare is at the heart of all you do.
We have an on-going need for flexible workers to support our nursing teams, as a BANK worker you will have access to all substantive and fixed term contract vacancies within the Trust. In addition, you will benefit from:
  • First sight of all suitable available shifts across DCHS
  • Paid annual leave (additional 12.07% of shift rate)
  • The opportunity to accept working hours that suit your personal circumstances
  • Access to a pension scheme with employer contributions (either topping up your NHS Pension or a separate additional option)
  • Free training and development
  • Mileage rates of up to 45p per mile
  • The freedom to earn extra cash when you want to
