This exciting start-up is an innovative new marketet place for motor vehicle parts disrupting the way consumers and independent garages buy vehicle parts & accessories. By partnering with the major vehicle brands, our ecommerce site sells genuine, new original equipment direct from manufacturers. This means they can offer vehicle owners the full range of genuine compatible parts to purchase quickly, conveniently and with a manufacturer's warranty.

This is a graduate level 3-6 month internship with the view to move perm after successfully completing the internship.

Day to day responsibilities of the role:

The eCommerce assistant is a critical member of the team, undertaking a diverse and stimulating set of activities that underpin the business. Key areas of responsibility include the transformation of our vehicle information so it’s customer-ready, research and content creation to help customers engage with our site, and key product management activities to ensure our platform is fit for purpose. As a new startup, the types of work are changing frequently and the opportunity to be involved is continuously evolving

The core objective is to ensure that they build a fast, scalable, efficient and accurate way of transforming automotive data into products that customers can buy. The opportunity is broad and the right individual will be able to add value in many different areas and carve out their own role.

Key attributes needed for the role:

  • The right individual has startup behaviours in their DNA: they are very energetic, enthusiastic and resilient. They are a self-starter who’s comfortable with ambiguity and takes accountability for their work.
  • This is a role that requires a real attention to detail. The right individual will be very analytical in nature and have a methodical, rigorous way of working.

Skills and experience desired:

  • Knowledge of Excel, particularly its more advanced functionality (Lookups, Pivots, Advanced Formulae) would be helpful
  • Any programming background is advantageous
  • A real interest in cars and/or motorcycles is helpful, especially any practical mechanical awareness
  • Any exposure to ecommerce or digital technologies is helpful
  • Prior experience or knowledge is not expected (but it is advantageous) and where training in these key skills will be provided
