Maths Teaching Assistant: Person Specification

You will need to be a charismatic Maths Graduate who has obtained a 2:2 or above in your degree. You will have previous experience working in a school even if this is on a voluntary basis. The school would like to meet Maths Graduates who have a willingness to motivate others by interacting with their pupils, providing them and have a good understanding of education. The successful applicant will have an enthusiasm to their work, and the understanding of the impact a good education can have in order to do well and achieve success.

Maths Teaching Assistant: About the Role

Your duties will include progressing through the guidance of a fun and informative training scheme, part of a vital continued professional development plan that is specifically designed for Teaching Assistants and LSAs. You will play a large part in the success of SEN pupils, guiding them through their academic and social targets and preparing them for the next stage in education. The school has identified particular pupils that may need extra motivation and you will be take responsibility for these children by leading group and 1:1 sessions. Your duties will include joining the Maths Department which sees an increase in student interest each year due to innovative teaching methods.
