Description of the Business Line or Department
This trainee position is for a duration of 11 months, starting as soon as possible, within the Global Markets Division of Société Générale. You will join the Quantitative Investment Strategies team in London and will evolve in an international, dynamic and fast paced environment integrated within the Sales, Traders and Quant Research.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
This is fantastic opportunity to gain hands on experience working on a trading floor, under the immediate supervision of senior team members with sharp expertise on cross-asset systematic strategies development. This will bring you among one of the most innovative and recognized teams on global markets when it comes to derivatives structuring.
Summary of responsibilities
After an initial training period, you will gradually take responsibilities in the development of systematic strategies for a wide range of sophisticated European based Clients (Pension Funds, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies ...). Your daily activities will comprise exchanges with other structurers, quant researchers and traders to generate new strategies ideas and backtest them. The position requires good analytical and coding skills. The trainee will work on the development and the implementation of systematic strategies on a wide range of asset classes and instruments. He will also participate to creation of marketing documents and the contextualisation of such strategies.
Level of Autonomy and Authority
- Master from a top European university
- Reliability and high attention to detail is mandatory
- Good coding skills. Python is a plus.
- Understanding of derivatives
- Dynamism and high motivation
- Flexibility - Adaptability
- Ability to Work Under Pressure and demonstrate initiative
- Fluency in English
A previous internship in that field would be a plus but is not mandatory.
Master from a Top European University with subjects such as Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics
