The Company: Our client is a start-up (backed by private equity) that is creating a home for people who want to work in a new way. It is the future of coworking and is challenging the perceptions of work and premium service. Having successfully launched its first four pro-working spaces, the leadership team is now both managing these spaces and the build/pipeline of new locations with a view to exit within three years. As the company matures, the need to specialize and diversify the skills within the team means they’re looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join their high-performance team. This person will be used to working in a fast-paced environment and be expected to take an active role in providing business analytics support to the management team and various other stakeholders, to allow the business to continue growing.
The Role: The Junior Business Analyst will act as the Salesforce Superuser and will be expected to drive data management, end-user training and sales reporting on the Salesforce CRM platform. The Junior Business Analyst will be in a unique position with visibility across the business; offering support and assistance to other teams based on analysis of core business data coming from sales, marketing and customer behaviour. This role is highly data-driven but also requires a level of detail, care and entrepreneurship to be able to guide the business to success over the long term and grow as the business grows.
Responsibilities: 1. Act as the Salesforce Superuser • Ensure high-level sales and marketing data quality and accuracy in Salesforce and resolve any data quality related issues • Ensure that sales and customer data reconcile between Salesforce and the company's space management system • Provide weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting support to various teams and stakeholders, including, but not limited to sales, marketing and events • Respond to ad-hoc data and reporting requests, provide support and manage stakeholder expectations • Ensure that all stakeholders have the required level of knowledge of the Salesforce platform by organizing and delivering in-person trainings and creating training videos • Be the first point of contact for requests for change/development within the Salesforce platform 2. Actively participate in business intelligence projects • Actively look for and suggest ways of improvement in analytics capabilities • Participate in data and analytics projects Role requirements: • 1-year experience in a corporate or start-up environment in an analyst role • Studies or background in business, finance, maths, computer science or other similar fields • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and a track record of tackling highly numerical and analysis focused tasks • Experience with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and pivot tables) is required • Experience with Salesforce or any other customer relationship management (CRM) system is an advantage • Able to work well as part of a team as well as independently in a demanding environment • Be a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit who can integrate and grow with the existing team and proactively suggest ways for improvement This will suit someone who is: • Dynamic, hard-working, highly motivated, with a hunger to learn and develop • Highly numerical, analytical and solution-focused and has superb attention to detail • Curious and able to demonstrate a natural ability to distil complex ideas into simple terms • Data-oriented and enjoys solving complex problems • Commercially-minded • Entrepreneurial, someone willing to think about the bigger picture
Duration: 12-18 months contract with a view to go permanent Location: Central London Start Date: ASAP
