On the Engineering Graduate Development Programme, which starts in September 2019, you will work with multi-functional teams across Scotland, providing you with an overview of our planning, strategy and capital delivery areas of the business. You will develop your skills around planning, risk management, engineering, construction and project/programme management.
You will have a variety of interesting and challenging placements on the 2 year graduate programme and your professional development will continue when you move into one of our engineering roles. We are looking for Graduates who have the determination to succeed and become our future experts and leaders.
We would welcome applicants with a 2:2 and above in an Engineering discipline (civil, electrical, process, mechanical and chemical) who want to progress their career in the water industry working for Scottish Water. We would especially encourage those graduating with an MEng to apply. We support routes to incorporated and chartered membership of relevant engineering bodies and in particular we have an approved training scheme to progress those with the relevant qualifications (MEng) to chartered member of the Institute of Civil Engineers.
You’ll be given the chance to stretch yourself in placements across the business and across Scotland too... by being flexible in your thinking and sometimes in your location. We also have a growing international business which means there may even be some fantastic opportunities for you to work on projects abroad.
