Employer:Oxford Health NHS Foundation TrustDepartment:Emergency Multidisciplinary UnitLocation:AbingdonSalary:£17,787 to £20,448 per annum pro rataAbingdon’s Emergency Multi-disciplinary Assessment Unit is a caring, friendly service situated at Abingdon Hospital and serves a wide community in Oxfordshire providing a One Stop Shop for any client over the age of 18 years with health needs. Each patient receives an individualised MDT assessment, diagnostics and treatment providing an active management plan. The MDT comprises of doctors, nurses, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and social care.
The Rehab Assistant role is to work with this specialist MDT providing rehabilitation in a sub-acute medical setting. The Rehab Assistant role encompasses a mixture of general and specialist assessments and rehabilitation under supervision of a registered practitioner.
We aim to empower patients to manage their conditions effectively and maximise their potential to reach their goals of self-management, access to their environment and return to previous occupations and involvement in the community.
The Unit’s core values are: Patient Focus, Integrity, Transparency and Respect enabling the whole team to meet the challenges of this environment. The demonstration of these values is clear on a daily basis from the clinical decision making and the way the staff are supported and developed.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Rehab Assistant who can support the roles of the Therapy team within the unit, committed to the core values of EMU.
