An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated Support Worker with an interest in working with working age adults. The team provides 12 week intervention programmes in the London Borough of Croydon. The Croydon Reablement Team is part of Croydon Directorate at SLAM.
The support worker role entails working with people with early signs of mental distress and social issues, as well as people in recovery from long term mental health issues. Interventions are very practical, client goal orientated and will include working in partnership with other Croydon providers including but not limited to housing, education, social care and MARAC to resolve issues quickly whilst building resilience with service users to help them manage future difficulties.
The team works closely with the Croydon IAPT service and the Croydon Assessment & Liaison team. This is a diverse role mainly based at Jeannette Wallace House; however the successful applicant will be expected to travel around the borough. Therefore you will need to be organised, flexible and driven. You must have a genuine commitment to improving mental health services for adults.
