Job Description

Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind is a highly regarded, innovative local Charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of more than £3m, over 100 staff and 150 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network.

We are seeking an Independent Advocate to provide Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) and Care Act Advocacy support to eligible adults living in the borough of Greenwich. You will hold the National Advocacy Qualification, or be willing to work towards it.

Having worked in a mental health organisation, or related field, you will have experience of providing Independent Advocacy Support, undertaking casework and managing a caseload. In addition, you will be required to work on your own initiative independently off site weekly.

You will have good written communication skills and an ability to present information clearly to a wide range of audiences. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office applications and online databases.

Staff benefits include a matched contribution pension scheme, 25 days' holiday (rising with service), quality supervision and training opportunities.
