Angus Dundee Distillers are recruiting for a talented graduate for a 12 month placement which will see you supporting various site developments by providing technical CAD drawings and process control diagrams. This is a superb opportunity to enhance your existing skills and get involved in a project which is crucial to our future growth plans. The role will be based in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.
To support ongoing development plans, you will be tasked with providing CAD support for the installation of a new bottle filling line and the relocation of an existing bottle filling line.
In addition, you will also work with one of our distilleries, where a visitor centre is to be built, alongside the installation of a new Gin Still. This will require various drawings for consideration by the project team. This is a significant development for the business, with extensive investment being made to what will be our first visitor centre.
There is also an ongoing requirement to provide CAD support for completing pipeline and instrumentation diagrams, updating existing ones (as part of our change management procedure) and to provide hazardous area classification drawings to meet our legal obligations with the HSE and SEPA. This will also include the distilleries as well as the Coatbridge bottling and maturation site.
You will deploy your recently acquired CAD skills, knowledge and expertise to support a number of new development initiatives across our business.
- Work with the site's teams and Management with ongoing infrastructure developments
- Create a database of drawings and diagrams using site document control procedures
- Create, manage, update and control all site drawings, process control diagrams, process flow diagrams and asset records
- Audit existing drawings and amend as necessary
- Where necessary liaise with contractors and assist with installation oversight
You will be HND or degree qualified, in either a science, engineering or technical drawing discipline.
Skills / Experience
- Proficient in the use of CAD
- A firm interest in Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Excellent personal management skills
- Project management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- First-class IT skills
- Previous experience of a similar role, either during or post-study
