Expend is a London-based FinTech company, in business since 2014 and now growing rapidly on top of a fresh round of funding. We simplify the painful business process of managing company expenses with a smart payment solution and expenses management platform.

We’re ambitious and we’ve set ourselves multiple targets and objectives, but our first challenge is to revolutionise business expenses. Expend saves time, hassle and money, giving companies a new level of expense automation and efficient control over budgets and employee spending.

We are working within a huge sector mainly dominated by big businesses using outdated approaches. It is in massive need of change and we aim to revolutionise the space. We provide mobile, online, card and payment products as part of an intuitive solution with unique functionality. We integrate and form partnerships with numerous financial and service companies, many of which you will know.

Role

We are looking for a driven Sales and Operations assistant who isn’t afraid to learn new skills, get on the phone to promote our product, host demonstration calls and chase up clients to join our team in Shoreditch, London.

You will be working across various disciplines, including sales, marketing and operations, as well as spending time with the development team to understand our service.

(This role will be on an initial 3 month trial, and if successful, the aim will be to offer a job – with stock options – at the end of this).

The role encompasses the following:

  • Generating leads, communicating with and promoting our service & product to potential customers
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of prospects
  • Following up with customers by email or phone call
  • Hosting demos and attending meetings with potential new customers
  • Developing relationships with potential partners
  • Working in the sales team to contribute to sales deals and streamline sales processes
  • Attending events with the rest of the sales team

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in Sales and Marketing in an office based environment is essential (preferably in the tech sector)
  • A drive and desire to succeed
  • Personable and strong communication skills
  • Immaculate English – written and verbal
  • Engaging phone manner
  • Self awareness and a desire to improve your skills
  • A good degree in a relevant subject

Bonus Points:

Experience with CRM systems as well as software such as Intercom, Hubspot, Salesforce or other marketing & sales automation software.
