My client secondary school in Tonbridge, Kent, are looking for a Science Graduate to join them as their new Science Teaching Assistant. The School would like to meet a science Graduate who has a 2.1 or above in their degree, good Science A-Levels and a burning desire to teach their subject. You may have a specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

The school are a large, non-selective secondary school with an excellent reputation in the area. The Science department goes from strength to strength and the faculty is comprised of an excellent blend of experienced, outstanding teachers and highly talented NQTs. One of these outstanding Science Teachers will act as your mentor as you learn the ropes as a Teaching Assistant primarily but also get to know how a teacher plans their day, week and terms as an effective practitioner.

The Science Teaching Assistant role will involve you working with small groups as you help them learn and appreciate the sciences. You will be assisting in lessons with groups of age 11 to 18 as you work through the science syllabus. You will be focusing on raising the attainment of GCSE and A-Level pupils during the busy exam period.
