We have opportunities for ambitious, curious, open-minded students to join our Project Management and Project Controls profession on a year-long industrial placement.
Our industrial placement
Our 12-month industrial placement programme is ideal for students looking to complete a placement during their time at university. The placement is designed to provide you with a flavour of what it is like to work at Sellafield Ltd and although you are only with us for a year, we can assure you that you will still feel you have made a difference.
As part of the Industrial Placement programme you will get the chance to take part in activities that will allow you develop your skills in line with our graduate scheme and also allow you to obtain valuable employability skills and experience.
About Project Management and Project Controls
Project Managers are the people who have the responsibility of delivering projects safely, on schedule and on budget. They lead an integrated project team of professionals in the design, construction, commissioning or decommissioning of some of the most challenging projects in the most challenging environments in industry.
Project Controls make a vital contribution to the successful completion of any project and provides the “eyes and ears” of good project delivery. Project Control is about the intelligent use of lifecycle data to support delivery and adds value by looking ahead, identifying potential issues and providing practical options and informed analysis to support decision making and influence the future of programmes and projects.
Contract type: Short term contract.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidates will be studying towards a bachelors/masters degree in project management, although other degree disciplines will be considered if a keen interest is shown for the profession.
You’ll need to be on track or expected to achieve at least a 2:1 in your degree discipline and ideally will be within your penultimate year of study.
