To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity you must have the following:
- 1st or 2:1 degree - Russell Group (preferable) in a core subject
- Significant SEN experience
- Speech &; Language experience
- A patient and supportive manner
In this rewarding Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity you would be supporting a Year 3 pupil with his learning, particularly Speech, Language &; Communication. You would be working 1:1 with this child as well as working with small groups within the student’s class, to ensure that the class teacher is supported and the student is given the best access to learning!
The ideal Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant must have significant experience of teaching and supporting SEN children in schools with complex or significant learning needs. It would be preferable if you have had experience of Speech and Language Interventions to support pupils with speech, language &; communication difficulties.
Good Knowledge &; significant experience of teaching the English National Curriculum in schools would be required for this Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant role and you would need to have good English, literacy and numeracy skills.
