SEN Teaching Assistant: Person Specification

You should be a dedicated graduate who has experience working with primary aged children and earned a second-class degree or better. Ideally, the school need a graduate who is able to bring their supportive approach to helping SEN students, who would benefit from working with an enthusiastic and passionate individual. You must have the skills to take on the burden of extra responsibility and contribute to the whole school. The school want to meet applicants who have an approachable and agreeable nature that draws pupils out of their shells so that they can gain more from classroom learning.

SEN Teaching Assistant: The Role

As a Year 6 Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting the development specific Year 6 students who have been identified as on the Autism Spectrum. The school are able to offer a placement on the School Direct programme and learn new skills and techniques through an impressive CPD scheme.
