The Maths Teaching Assistant will have a passion for all thing’s maths, with a natural ability to grasp content and explain this in a more tangible manner to pupils.
Based in Waltham Forest, the Headteacher of this secondary is particularly interested in a Maths Teaching Assistant who would be willing to undergo teacher training with the school under our unique route into teaching.

The Maths Teaching Assistant role:

The Maths Teaching Assistant will work closely within the maths department, supporting the lessons across KS3 and KS4 in maths and statistics (A-level and GCSE students). When instructed, you will lead 1:1 and group booster sessions for students who are struggling to grasp the lesson content. Outside of lessons, you can expect to work closely within the common rooms and raise the maths departments profile by being actively invested in extra-curricular activities.

Location: Waltham Forest, East London
Role: Maths Teaching Assistant – Maths Graduates or maths-related degree required
Pay: £65-£70 a day (paid on a weekly basis)
Duration: Long-term, full-time role – lasting entire academic year
Essential Criteria: 2:1 graduate with a strong academic background
Desirable Criteria: Experience working with pupils academically
