This is a fantastic secondary school located in South West London. Renowned throughout the area for its academic achievements, the school has one of the highest value-added scores in the country. As you can imagine, the school is heavily oversubscribed year on year.
With an immediate start, the Headteacher is looking to appoint a number of accomplished English graduates to support KS4 and KS5 students in the role of Academic Mentors. These vacancies are specifically aimed at high achieving English graduates who are passionate about making a difference within the education sector. So ideal for those of you aspiring teachers.
The school has amazing facilities and resources, including three large playing fields, a large theatre, state of the art classrooms. They also have a large staff car park for those of you who like to drive.
As an English Graduate Academic Mentor, you’ll only be working with KS4 and KS5 students, getting them ready for their future exams. This will be classed based, supporting teachers across English only, but there may often be occasions where you will support students on a one to one basis, and in small booster groups. Students at this school want to do well and wont except second best, so you’ll need to be confident and assured, hence the need for Oxbridge/ Russell group calibre graduates.
