Graduate Sales Consultant £25,000 - £27,000 with OTE and Benefits London
Graduates with an interest in Higher Education to work as a Sales Consultant for an international academic publisher.
A well-established academic publisher with offices all over the globe and an excellent reputation amongst universities and academic institutions. This is an exciting sales role for a graduate who has an interest in higher education. You will be responsible for selling academic texts to universities across UK and Ireland. This role will be primarily based in London but will give you the opportunity to travel across the territories you manage. Alongside the amazing exposure you will get working for an international brand, they also have state of the art offices in Central London and a very competitive commission structure. The Role
  • Liaising with leading lecturers at universities across the UK and Ireland to forge long standing relations and build credibility in the high education space
  • Using a consultative sales approach to reach your annual revenue target and increase the number of partnerships existing with institutions
  • Gathering and relaying regular feedback to editorial, marketing and research teams to ensure the publications being produced are in line with the demand of the market
  • Creating yearly business plans to review year to date performance and implement a strategy plan for the coming year
  • Some travel may be required in this role to universities across the UK and part of Ireland to pitch for new business or manage key accounts.
Your Profile
  • Education to degree level is essential for this role in allowing you to understand how the higher education system operates
  • An understanding of academic publishing would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Comfortable selling face to face and over the phone in a consultative, articulate manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A results orientated approach to work with a desire to progress their career in higher education, publishing or sales.
